Hello my friends!

Here i will present my Camponotus fellah colony. I hold them now one year. i start with a queen and 3 workers.
I had first months some problems but after this time the colony only grow up. I have now a good runing colony. Some workers are die, maybe 4-6 workers. i have only a problem with the antenna of the workers. Some workers (7-10) can only use one antena realy good the other is without funktion. I think it can be that i had hold them with to low air huminity, but i am not sure.

Ok, that is only a short overview about my colony, i start with 3 workers and i have now 90 - 110 workers in all classes. minor, media and small major worker and some workers are between the media / major class. Very interesting is that some workers have a very big gaster, i think they only save food for the colony, because they never come out. But i know this is not an "Honey-Pot" ant species. Nick say that someone have here this kind of ants, so i have a question about "How do your Camponotus fellah have lunch". My workers did not bring the dead insects at the nest. they eat the insects outside the nest sometimes they bring the insects in but it is not so often! Maybe they change this when i give a bigger nest, that i have do today. New nest and a new arena. I will show you pictures from it next days.

Now i will talk about the biggest workers in my Nest, and about the brood.
Outside the nest only the small minor or Media workers. In the nest the media workers with the big gaster and the major workers in all ranges. This is my biggest worker now:

This major worker is coming out because i have shine with a lamp in the nest. The major is maybe 13-14mm long. But i think it is not the maximum size, because i have now a bigger pupa than the pupa they was this major in. Take a look at this pictures:

So i had think this is the biggest i can get.... but i think not right. On freeday i had seen this very very big pupa:

I hope that is an major pupa, but it can be a queen or male pupa too, but i think it is a major pupa. Very big and there are more larvae now in the nest they can have the same size. Here a picture from the nest area with larvae:
